A distinctive and rare white wine, deeply rooted in its origin, crafted from Biancolella grapes and expressing the most authentic soul of the Island of Ischia.
Gawem Bianco by Antonio Mazzella goes beyond a simple expression of place: it is the result of a clear vision, refined over time, aimed at interpreting Biancolella in its most complete and profound form.
The vineyards lie on the slopes of Mount Epomeo, in a demanding landscape shaped by terraces, sea winds and mineral-rich volcanic soils. These conditions give life to a wine that brings together precision, energy and identity.
Gawem is crafted through a distinctive approach: a blend of three vinifications—stainless steel, chestnut wood and amphora—working in harmony to build a layered and complex profile. Stainless steel preserves aromatic clarity, wood adds depth and structure, while amphora highlights a more essential, terroir-driven character.
In the glass, it shows a bright straw yellow hue. The nose reveals refined floral notes alongside hints of ripe fruit, while the palate stands out for its balance, freshness and elegant salinity, echoing the proximity to the sea.
Designed to pair with refined seafood dishes, shellfish and Mediterranean cuisine, it also holds its own as a contemplative wine. Limited production and careful craftsmanship make it a bottle with a strong identity, suited for those who appreciate authenticity and character.
