A refined and distinctive white wine, expressing the long-standing winemaking traditions of Campagnano, on the Island of Ischia.
The Villa Campagnano Epomeo IGT white wine embodies the heritage and identity of Ischia’s winemaking tradition. Produced in the Campagnano area, on the eastern side of the municipality of Ischia, this zone has been renowned for centuries for cultivating Biancolella and Forastera grapes, traditionally trained in low bush vines supported by chestnut wood pergolas.
The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo white vinification, followed by fermentation for approximately two months in 300-liter tonneaux. The wine is then aged on fine lees with bâtonnage until May, a process that enhances its structure, depth and overall complexity.
Villa Campagnano stands out for its intense golden yellow color and its complex bouquet, featuring notes of almond, ripe pear and preserved fruit. On the palate, it is smooth and persistent, with a well-balanced structure where softness meets a lively freshness, resulting in an elegant and highly drinkable white wine.
Ideal with medium-aged cheeses, pasta dishes and flavorful meats, it also pairs beautifully with a wide variety of fish-based dishes. Best served at 8–10°C to fully appreciate its character. Alcohol content: 13% vol.
