An elegant and mineral white wine that captures the salty breeze and sun of Ischia’s terraced vineyards.
The white wine Ischia Forastera DOC by Viticoltori Colella Giosuè comes from terraced vineyards in the municipalities of Forio and Lacco Ameno, on the Island of Ischia. Thanks to the dual south-west and northern exposure, the Forastera grapes ripen slowly, developing aromatic complexity and distinctive freshness.
After harvesting at the end of August, the grapes are gently pressed using a pneumatic press. The must is cold clarified and fermented at controlled temperature for about 30 days, preserving the varietal aromas and the identity of the grape.
The result is a wine with a straw-yellow color with greenish reflections, offering a dry and distinctly saline taste, with notes of green apple and Mediterranean spices. Ideal both as an aperitif and throughout the meal, it pairs beautifully with fish, white meats and especially shellfish.
