A volcanic and expressive red wine that tells the agricultural story and authentic character of the Island of Ischia in every sip.
The red wine Piedirosso “Per e Palumm” is a standout expression produced on the sunlit, sloping vineyards of Forio d’Ischia, specifically in the areas of Cimmentorosso and Spadara. Here, the volcanic soil and south-west exposure give the wine remarkable minerality and an elegant structure.
Crafted through careful winemaking, it is made from Piedirosso and Guarnaccia grapes harvested between September and October. After a controlled three-day maceration with regular punch-downs, the wine undergoes slow fermentation in stainless steel and is then aged in barriques for at least six months, enhancing its aromatic profile and softening the tannins.
The result is a red wine with a ruby color and violet reflections, offering a dry and pleasantly tannic taste, with intense aromas of red fruits and leather. A bottle that truly shines alongside bold Mediterranean dishes, especially the traditional Ischian hunter-style rabbit.
